Alexandra Bachzetsis was born in 1974 in Zurich, where she currently lives. She has participated in the Thessaloniki Biennále (2011), the Berlin Biennale (2008), and has had solo exhibitions at Chisenhale Gallery, London (2011), CAC Brétigny, Paris (2011), Kunsthaus Glarus (2010), and Kunsthalle Basel (2008). Bachzetsis received the Swiss Art Award in 2011 and the Migros Kulturprozent Jubilee Award in 2007.
