Mark Lombardi was born in 1951 in Syracuse, New York, and died in 2000 in New York. His work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at PS1, New York (2011–12), the Reykjavík Art Museum (2011), the Barbican Centre, London (2008), the Milwaukee Art Museum (2005), the Whitney Museum, New York (2001), and the Drawing Center, New York (2003), and is represented in important collections
