Born in 1980 in Beirut, Tarek Atoui lives in Paris and studied contemporary and electronic music in Reims. Recent performances have taken place at the New Museum, New York (2010), the Sharjah Biennial (2009), La Maison Rouge, Paris (2009), the Manarat Saadiyat, United Arab Emirates (2009), and Today’s Art Festival, Amsterdam (2007). In 2011, Atoui was artistin-residence at the New Museum, New York.
