Nikos  Papastergiadis,

Nikos Papastergiadis is Professor for Cultural Studies and Media & Communications at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that he was Deputy Director of the Australia Centre at UM, Head of the Centre for Ideas at the Victorian College of Arts, and lecturer in Sociology at the University of Manchester. His current research investigates the historical transformation of contemporary art and cultural institutions by digital technology. His books include Spatial Aesthetics (2006), Metaphor and Tension (2004), The Turbulence of Migration (2000), and Dialogues in the Diasporas (1998).
