Born in 1952 in Schwerte, Germany, Rosemarie Trockel lives in Cologne and is Professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her latest solo exhibitions include the Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid (2012), Wiels, Brussels (2012), the Kunstmuseum Bonn (2011), the Kunsthalle Zürich (2010), and the Kunstmuseum Basel (2010). She has participated in Skulptur Projekte Münster (2007) and documenta X (1997) and represented Germany at the Biennale di Venezia (1999).
