Zanele Muholi,

Zanele Muholi, born in 1972 in Durban, South Africa, lives in Johannesburg. She has had a solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna (2006), and participated in the Bienal de São Paulo (2010) and the Bamako Biennale (2009). She received the Casa África award for best female photographer (2009) and authored Mapping Our Histories: A Visual History of Black Lesbians in Post-apartheid South Africa (2009).
