Lori Waxman wurde in Montreal, Kanada, geboren, lehrt an der School of the Art Institute of Chicago und hat am Institute of Fine Arts der New York University studiert. Waxman ist Mitautorin von Girls! Girls! Girls! in contemporary art (2011), hat eine 14-tägige Kolumne im Chicago Tribune und schreibt für Artforum, Parkett und Tema Celeste. 2008 hat sie den Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant erhalten.
