Eva Scharrer is an art historian, curator, and critic, currently based in Kassel. Since April 2009 she has been working as Curatorial Researcher and writer for dOCUMENTA (13). In 2007 she was Co-curator of the Sharjah Biennial 8 “Still Life. Art, Ecology and the Politics of Change” in the United Arab Emirates. As a freelance curator, she has worked on exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland. She has written various catalogue essays on renowned and emerging artists and has been a regular contributor to international contemporary art journals such as Artforum and artforum.com, Modern Painters, Kunst-Bulletin, Spike Art, C Magazine, and Neue Review, et al.
