Michael Rakowitz, born in 1973 in Great Neck, New York, and living in Chicago, is Associate Professor in Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. Besides his projects in urban space, he has realized a solo exhibition at Tate Modern, London (2010), and participated in the Biennale of Sydney (2008), the Istanbul Biennial (2007), and the Sharjah Biennial (2007).
