Omer Fast was born in 1972 in Jerusalem and lives in Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions have included the Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne (2011), the Cleveland Museum of Art (2010), the Whitney Museum, New York (2009), and the Kunstverein Hannover (2008). He has participated in the Biennale di Venezia (2011) and the Whitney Biennial (2008, 2002). In 2009, Fast received the Preis der Nationalgalerie für junge Kunst, Berlin.
