Péter György,

Born in 1954, Péter György is a Budapest-based art historian and cultural critic. He is the Head of the Film, Media, and Cultural Studies Graduate Program at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest, and is now involved in the establishment of a Curatorial Studies and a New Media Master program with the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the University of Drama, Film, and Television, Budapest. He is the author of several books and hundreds of journal articles and has recently published The Spirit of Place: From Mauthausen to MoMA (2008).
