Rudolf Kaesbach was born in 1873 in Mönchengladbach, Germany, and died in 1955. He studied in Hanau, Paris, and Brussels and worked as a sculptor in Berlin after 1904. In 1936–39, he produced porcelain figurines for Rosenthal. He had exhibitions in Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Malmö. Later, his sculptures were shown in the Nazi propaganda exhibition “Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung” at the Haus der Deutschen Kunst, Munich (1943, 1941, 1940, 1939).
