Stephen  Muecke,

cultural theorist, writer
Born in 1951 in Adelaide, Australia, Stephen Muecke completed his PhD on storytelling techniques among Aboriginal people in Broome, Western Australia, and is now Professor of Writing at the School of English, Media and Performing Arts, University of New South Wales, Sydney. Muecke has published numerous books, including Contingency in Madagascar (2011), and is a co-editor of Paperbark: A Collection of Black Australian Writings (1990).
