La balance déséquilibrée

During the opening week of dOCUMENTA (13), Issa Samb carries out several spontaneous performances on site at his project in Karlsaue park. Collaborating with a group of young artists from Sénégal, he conceives these performances as exercises in re-learning how to see and experience the world, as well as ourselves. They are ceremonies for unlearning visual conventions, attempts to develop a sensuality of the eye enriched by tactile, aural, and olfactory experiences.
