Variations on Rhythms of Room of Rhythms

Variations on Rhythms of Room of Rhythms departs from the existing sonic timelines, sound patterns and their positioning in Cevdet Erek’s installation Room of Rhythms. Using the audio system in the space, Erek and company introduce new tempi, textures, icons, and events into the existing sound fabric. The performance looks for the energy generated by togetherness, through an articulate combination of beats. People are free to walk around, sit or dance. The duration is determined by the audience.
