Upon presentation of a valid ID, the following persons are eligible for reduced admission: students, unemployed and recipients of social benefits, handicapped with ID (if > 50% disability, one companion is admitted free of charge). Children at the age of 10 or younger are admitted free of charge.

Kassel is situated in the middle of Germany and is easy to reach by train from all other major German cities via the high-speed German railway network (ICE). By car, arrive via the trans-regional motorway network (A7, A44, A49), as well as four major arterial roads.

Direct rail connection (ICE) to Kassel.
Hanover Airport
S-Bahn (city and suburban metro/rail service) via Hanover Central Station and ICE to Kassel.
Arriving by rail
The central terminus is the ICE main station Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe. Trams 1, 3 and 4 depart from here and will take you to the various exhibition locations in the city and to the “Friedrichsplatz” tram stop. From here a cluster of exhibition venues can be reached, including the Museum Fridericianum.

The schedules for the dOCUMENTA (13) buslines d13 are available below. The line will be available for the duration of dOCUMENTA (13) in order to provide visitors with transportation to the exhibitions. The use of these buses is free with valid dOCUMENTA (13) tickets.

Trams in Kassel
You can reach all the important locations by tram. The central stop for dOCUMENTA (13) is called “Friedrichsplatz.” Tickets can be purchased on the tram and cost per adult between € 1.60 (short distances up to four stops) and € 2.50 (“Kassel City”).
