Akram Zaatari,

Born in 1966 in Saida, Lebanon, Akram Zaatari lives in Beirut and is co-founder of the Arab Image Foundation, Beirut. He has had solo exhibitions at MUAC, Mexico City (2012), Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo (2011), MUSAC, Léon (2011), and the Beirut Art Center (2009). Zaatari has participated in the Istanbul Biennial (2011) and the Biennale di Venezia (2007) and has been awarded the Grand Prize of the SESC Videobrasil Festival, São Paulo, in 2011.
