Alanna Heiss,

Alanna Heiss was born in 1943 in Louisville, and lives in New York. In 1976 she founded the P.S.1. Contemporary Art Center in New York, which she ran until 2008. Heiss is the founder and Director of the Clocktower Gallery and its Web radio station, ARTonAIR.org, New York. She has received numerous honors including the Mayor’s Award for Contributions to the Artistic Viability of New York City and the CCS Bard Award for Curatorial Excellence.
