Atiq Rahimi,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Atiq Rahimi will not take part in Chorality, On Retreat: A Writers' Residency.

Atiq Rahimi was born in 1962 in Kabul, Afghanistan, and has lived in Paris since 1985. Besides his first novel, Earth and Ashes (2003 [2000]), he has published and produced numerous books and movies. In 2008, he won the Prix Goncourt for his book Stone of Patience/The Patience Stone (2010 [2008]). Rahimi’s publications include Maudit soit Dostoïevski (2011), Thousand Rooms of Dream and Fear (2007 [2002]), and Le Retour imaginaire (2005).
