G. M. Tamás,

G. M. Tamás, a Hungarian philosopher, was born in 1948 in Transylvania, Rumania, and lives in Budapest. He was a revolutionary orator in 1988/89, a Member of Parliament between 1990 and 1994, and a visiting professor at Oxford, Chicago, Georgetown, Yale, a. o. He is the author of L'Oeil et la main (1985), Les Idoles de la tribu (1989), Törzsi fogalmak [Tribal Concepts], I–II (1999), and Telling the Truth About Class (2006). His works have been translated in 14 languages.
