Hans Ulrich Obrist, born in 1968 in Zurich, is a curator, and critic. He is currently Co-Director, Exhibitions and Programmes and Director of International Projects at the Serpentine Gallery, London. Obrist has authored numerous books, among them Ai Weiwei Speaks (2011), A Brief History of Curating (2008), Hans Ulrich Obrist: Interviews, Volume 1 and Volume 2 (2003, 2010), and, ongoing since 2006, The Conversation Series.
