Irina Aristarkhova was born in 1969 in Moscow. Aristarkhova writes and lectures on cyberfeminism, new media aesthetics, and comparative feminist theory and holds a joint appointment in Women’s Studies and Visual Art at Pennsylvania State University. Her most recent book, Hospitality of the Matrix: Philosophy, Biomedicine, Culture, is forthcoming from Columbia University Press in 2012.
