Michael Portnoy, born in 1971 in Washington, D.C., lives in New York. He has performed and exhibited at de Appel, Amsterdam (2010), the Centre Pompidou, Paris (2010), Kunstverein, Amsterdam (2009), Sculpture-Center, New York (2008), and the Migros Museum, Zurich (2006). Portnoy has participated in Performa, New York (2011, 2009, 2007), the Taipei Biennial (2010), and Le Printemps de Septembre, Toulouse (2010).
