deformed sculptures

venue: Fridericianum
The two archaeological objects from the National Museum in Beirut, cataloged as no. 13630 and no. 28108, were damaged during the Lebanese Civil War (1975–90). The fusions of metal, ivory, glass, terra-cotta, and bronze are the result of high temperatures reached during a fire caused by the shelling of a storage area.
