I SEE BY YOUR FINGERNAILS THAT YOU ARE MY BROTHER

For the first days of dOCUMENTA (13), Ida Applebroog has devised a demonstration for Kassel’s public spaces in which she unearths and makes public personal archival material that has been untouched for over thirty years. The demonstration is carried out by a group of people who walk around the city with sandwich boards displaying texts from private notes, papers, and scripts. After the opening week of the exhibition, the boards are on display in Applebroog’s installation at the Fridericianum.
