Massimo Bartolini’s video short, Der Seemacher (2002), features a stubborn man steadfastly waiting for a watering hose to fill a vast basin in which he is seated. Considering the vast scale of the pit, the ultimate flooding of it may take on the appearance of a small lake that in due course may drown the sitter, the possible creator of this whole set-up.
