A documentary on the leveling and reconstruction of the French city of Le Havre. The port, bombed to near oblivion during the Second World War, was rebuilt immediately afterwards under the direction of the modernist architect Auguste Perret. This Olympian and progressive undertaking led Le Havre to become an icon of “reconstruction” for politicians and architects at that time.
