Claire Pentecost, born in 1956 in Atlanta, currently lives in Chicago. She is Professor in the Department of Photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has realized numerous projects, essays, lectures, and seminars on art, agriculture, the state of interconnectedness that we call “nature,” and the state of disconnection in the current definition of “knowledge.” She is widely traveled in alternative universes.
