Florian Hecker, born in 1975 in Augsburg, Germany, lives in Kissing and Vienna, where he studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste. His sound pieces and performances have been presented at Tate Modern, London (2011), Tramway, Glasgow (2010), MMK, Frankfurt/Main (2010), Chisenhale Gallery, London (2010), CAC, Vilnius (2008), Lampo, Chicago (2006), Casa Da Música, Porto (2005), and the Göteborg International Biennial (2011, 2003).
