Warwick Thornton lives in Alice Springs, Australia, where he was born in 1970. He studied at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Sydney. His debut feature film, Samson and 301 Moved Permanently Delilah, won the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009. At the Berlinale, Berlin, he received in 2008 the short-film award Gläsener Bär for Nana and in 2005 the short-film award Panorama for Green Bush.
