Alexei Penzin is a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, and a member of the artists and intellectuals group Chto Delat/What is to be done?. His major fields of interest are philosophical anthropology, Marxism, post-Soviet studies, and the philosophy of art. Penzin has authored numerous articles and is currently working on a book titled Rex Exsomnis: Towards a Political Economy of Sleep.
