Cevdet Erek was born in 1974 in Istanbul and lives there. He has had solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Basel (2012), Akinci, Amsterdam (2011, 2008), and 300m² Art Space, Gothenburg (2009). Erek has presented his work at the Istanbul Biennial (2011, 2003) and Home Works 5, Beirut (2010), as well as in group exhibitions at Tate Modern, London (2011), TBA 21, Vienna (2010), Artists Space, New York (2009), and Extra City, Antwerp (2009).
