Gabriel Lester, born in 1972 in Amsterdam, lives in Amsterdam and Shanghai. He has had solo exhibitions at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2011), Z33, Hasselt (2009), the Bloomberg Space, London (2007), and Centre d’Art Neuchâtel (2001). Lester has participated in the Liverpool Biennial (2008) and the Göteborg International Biennial (2005). In 1999–2000, he received a twoyear residency at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam.
