Tejal Shah was born in 1979 in Bhilai, India, and lives in Bombay. She studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. In 2011, she had a solo exhibition at La Centrale Galerie Powerhouse, Montreal. Shah has participated in group exhibitions at the Centre Pompidou, Paris (2011), the Whitechapel Gallery, London (2010), the Devi Art Foundation, New Delhi (2008), and the Brooklyn Museum, New York (2007).
